Perennial mint with basil scented leaves and pale pink flowers during summer. It is the Basil you have when you don’t have any Basil. Spreads by runners- plant in pots to keep contained.

Position: Full sun to partial shade. Likes summer moisture.

 Uses: Add finely chopped leaves to salad dressings, marinades and sauces. Use is salads and with vegetables for an exotic flavour. Tastes a lot like Sweet Basil so partners well with similar strong flavoured herbs. It is not as aromatic but will give cooked food the classic citrus and spice flavour with a hit of mint.
