RETAIL STORE MANAGER


The Guildford Garden Centre has been a landmark family owned and family run business for more than 30 years. We pride ourselves on our customer focused, professional service and advice, the strong sense of team that exists and our commitment to the finest quality plants, trees, merchandise and giftware.


We are looking for a hardworking, experienced and enthusiastic Store Manager to lead our retail team at our Guildford store and help to grow our thriving garden centre. 

Our new Store Manager will:

  • have a passion for retail excellence with demonstrated skills in outstanding customer service in a retail environment
  • have experience in people management with the ability to motivate and develop the retail team
  • be an inspiring team leader
  • be responsible for coordinating daily activities including customer service, delivery supervision, staff rostering and point of sale system management
  • be able to drive sales initiatives, communicate with customers, and enhance customer satisfaction
  • promote workplace health and safety and environmental compliance
  • create a positive atmosphere where team members feel valued and customers love visiting.

Relevant horticultural qualifications, such as a Certificate in Horticulture, would be an advantage but not essential for this position.

This is a full-time role with a Monday to Friday, Tuesday to Saturday rotating roster. We offer a competitive salary and on the job training. This is an opportnity to be part of a team that helps each other get the job done right the first time.
