A hardneck variety garlic.
An excellent versatile vegetable, perfect for flavouring many types of dishes. Can be used raw or cooked.
Plant in Autumn, harvest in late very late Spring/Summer
Separate cloves and plant individually approximately 15 cm apart, pointy end up to produce an abundant crop (rows 60cm apart).
Mulch the garlic with 5cm of pea straw, cane mulch or lupin mulch.
Cease watering a few week prior to harvest to ensure plants become dry and firm before lifting. Once foliage has died back, lift and store in a cool, dry environment.
