A hardy flowering tree chosen for its drought tolerance, soft foliage and showy flowers. Suitable as a shade tree in larger garden and parks. Tolerates most soil types. Full sun to part shade. Sometimes referred to as a “Cape Lilac”.
This Australian selected variety is low fruiting and has unusual dissected leaves.
Growth Rate: Moderate
Foliage: Glossy green leaves are more dissected than other varieties. Yellow autumn tones.
Flower: Showy clusters of of pale lilac flowers in spring. This variety produces no or low amounts of fruit.
Bark: Grey-brown bark forms textured furrows as it matures.
