A hardy flowering tree chosen for its drought tolerance, soft foliage and showy flowers. Suitable as a shade tree in larger gardens and parks. Sometimes referred to as a “Cape Lilac” or “White Cedar.”

Foliage: Mid-green pinnate foliage, turning yellow in autumn.
Flower: Panicles of lilac coloured flowers with a subtle fragrance from mid to late spring. Flowers become berries which are attractive to red-tailed black cockatoos however are toxic to humans.
Bark: Grey-brown bark forms textured furrows as it matures.
Conditions: Tolerates most soil types. Full sun to part shade.
