Acmena smithii – ‘Cherry Surprise’ 

$29.99

A stunning, tall lilly pilly growing to 3m tall and 1.5m wide. It produces stunning cherry red new growth that gradually fades to dark green. In spring and summer it produces clusters of white, fluffy flowers. 

It is perfect to use as a hedge or screen in the garden. It is great to use in areas that would be regularly pruned as that would encourage it to produces the stunning new growth. 

It should be grown in a full sun position in well drained soil. It should be mulched and watered regularly over the hot summer months. After flowering it should be pruned back to encourage a dense habit. In winter and autumn it should be fertilised with a slow release fertiliser.
