Macadamia – Grafted – Number 842

Evergreen Australian native tree that produces bunches of small creamy white flowers followed by the edible nuts which drop during autumn and winter. Makes an attractive large shade tree as well as producing the nuts for harvest. Full sun is preferred with some protection from hot winds. The macadamia tree will appreciate summer watering and native slow release fertiliser applied around the base of the tree in Autumn and Spring. mulching around the base of a tree with organic matter like spent husks or leaves, retaining a 1m radius from the trunk.

842 is a medium to large upright tree with intense flowering over an extended period of time. The plant has a relatively open canopy and long spiked leaves.
