This new crepe myrtle has distinctly different, carnation-like, glowing red flowers that show beautifully against the lustrous dark green foliage. Foliage turns orange-red in fall. The habit is upright, but compact, with dense branching, making a nice small tree form.
Growth Rate: Moderately slow
Foliage: Dark green foliage will demonstrate some orange autumn tones.
Flowers: Extremely bright glowing red flower colour that features a very curly carnation like appearance.
Bark: Dark greenish-grey when young then exfoliating at around 3 years leaving a pale beige under-bark
Tolerances: Good to moderate drought and heat tolerance and demonstrates a good tolerance to powdery mildew.
