A new Australian selection of Cercis with golden foliage. Tolerates full sun situations with less leaf scorch than other golden foliaged Cercis. Prefers a moist, deep well drained position. Avoid hot exposed windy positions.
Growth Rate: Slow to moderate
Foliage: Large heart shaped foliage emerges in coppery tones and becomes yellow as it matures. Can become greenish in shaded sites as the leaf matures.
Flower: Masses of showy, lavender-pink pea-type flowers are produced on bare stems in early to mid spring.
Fruit: Can produce fruit similar to pea pods under ideal conditions. Pods can be persistent on the tree over winter.
