A classic key herb used for most types of cooking. The leaves give an uplifting spicy flavour to soups, curries, stews amd pasta dishes. It is added early to the cooking to allow the flavour to permeate the meat and vegetables. The Bay Tree grows into a large shrub or small tree. It can be grown in a pot as a specimen plant, or as an unclipped hedge.

Position: It will grow in most soil types in part to full sun and will take heavy frost.
