A semi to fully deciduous tree that bears heavy crops of fruit. The fruit has a unique scaled appearance with creamy white, aromatic flesh.

Position: Needs a full sun to part shade position with protection from wind and frost

Size & Habit: Semi to fully deciduous, low spreading habit, 3m

Flower: Cream with long petals

Fruit: Segmented, creamy white with many glossy black seeds

Skin: Green with a dragon scale pattern

Cropping: Late summer to autumn

Harvest/Maturity: Can take 2-3 years to fruit

Pollination: Self-fertile, but needs high humidity in the canopy and may do best with manual pollination

Uses: Eating fresh, or once the seeds are removed juicing or adding to smoothies.
